Bases for Geometric Solids with Box

Wooden box containing three sets of bases for the Geometric Solids, for a total of fifteen bases. Base shapes: circle, equilateral triangle, isoceles triangle, square, and rectangle. Each base is painted blue around the perimeter.

The bases represent the projections of the Geometric Solids from 3D into 2D.

The purpose of this product is to develop the child's stereognostic sense, which creates a mental picture through touch. Helps make the child more aware of the basic shapes found in their environment. Indirectly prepares the child for later work in Mathematics especially geometry, through identifying solid shapes and exploring the relationships between their plane and curved surfaces.
